New Zealand Embassy, Beijing

On the 1st of April, Jing Sing performed at the New Zealand embassy in honour of the visit from the Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern.

Modernista

On April 11th, Jing Sing returned to one of their favourite venues, Modernista, for a lively spring performance! Thank you to our fantastic audience and the support of all our fans!

Jing Sing a cappella singing group is excited to welcome new members to the team! Rehearsals have been as lively as ever as the crew prepare for upcoming performances in Beijing. Stay tuned to hear more from us about performances in April. Meanwhile, it’s time to meet our newest members.

ANI

Ani is half-Sri-Lankan, half-American, and was born and raised in Switzerland. Now living in China, she considers herself a global citizen and a third culture kid. She spends her most of time singing Taylor Swift songs and looking for a good place to park her bicycle.

Ani是斯里兰卡和美国混血，在瑞士出生，现在在中国生活。她认为她是一个世界公民，也是一个第三世界文化的女儿。她经常唱Taylor Swift的歌，找地方停自行车也是经常的事。

 

LOU

Lou is from (almost) London and has lived in Beijing for nearly two years. She has been singing in choirs since the age of 6, and discovered a cappella at university in an all female group of fabulous women. When she has the time she likes exploring off-the-beaten-track China and finding hidden gems and delicious food. She’s excited to join Jing Sing and get back to a cappella – this time with basses! 

Lou是大半个伦敦人，在北京两年了。她6岁开始就参加合唱团，大学的时候参加了一个充满了优秀女性的无伴奏人声团体。有空的时候她喜欢探索中国的名山大川，美食风情。她很高兴能通过参加京Sing重回唱无伴奏人声的日子，而且是和一群低音们！

 

DENG DENG

Deng Deng was born in Tianjin and works in Beijing. She likes all things yellow. She joined Jing Sing in March 2019. In her spare time, she likes to go to shows with friends.

登登出生于天津，现在在北京工作。她喜欢是黄色的任何东西。2019年3月加入京Sing 。业余时间，她喜欢和朋友去看演出。

 

MIKE

Mike has been singing professionally in the shower for the majority of his natural life. Originally from America, he somehow found himself in Beijing a long while ago. A short while ago he found himself singing with Man Sing a cappella. Now he’s excited to make strange stranger by singing with new strangers. In his spare time, Mike enjoys improvising on the backgammon board and getting in tune with himself.

Mike大半辈子都是一个浴室歌手。他原本是个美国人但是在北京也活过了不少年头。在这儿他已经和一个叫Man Sing的无伴奏人声团体唱了好一阵子的歌，他现在很兴奋可以把奇怪的东西和奇怪的人继续奇怪下去。闲暇时候 Mike喜欢玩玩棋盘游戏和发现更多的自己。

 

CAI YUE (ECHO)

Cai Yue (Echo) is a National Class B actor from Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. He joined Jing Sing in 2018 and is also the founder and head of the Chinese a cappella group Echo. He is currently a member of the China Federation of Literary and Artistic Circles. He began beatboxing in 2005 and was among the first beatboxing enthusiasts and cultural promoters in mainland China. He has participated in the China Music Golden Bell Awards and won a Top 50 Pop Group award, a silver award at the Yangtze River Delta Vocal Competition, and his group won a gold award at the Jasmine Vocal Competition Group Competition. In addition, he has acted in TV shows, cross talk, and drama performances that toured the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, the United States, Trinidad and Tobago, Egypt, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Colombia, and Spain.

Echo 蔡钺是中国的国家二级演员，来自中国江苏省南京市，2018年加入京sing，同时他也是国内阿卡贝拉echo人声团体的创始人兼团长，目前就职于中国文学艺术界联合会。他于2005年开始学习beatbox，是中国大陆的第一批玩家和beatbox文化推广者。他曾参加中国音乐金钟奖获得流行组的50强，长三角声乐大赛获得银奖，茉莉花声乐大赛组合组唯一金奖。同时，他也参演过电视剧拍摄、还有相声和话剧的演出。曾受邀去荷兰、瑞典、丹麦、美国、特立尼达和多巴哥、埃及、迪拜、阿布扎比、哥伦比亚、西班牙等国家巡演。
